• Distributes moderation judgment across many members instead of concentrating it in a small admin team, catching an individual moderator’s bias or error without requiring a human editor to review every decision.
• Slashdot and Kuro5hin are the named originators of the technique; GameFAQs’ message boards formerly used a meta-moderation system but no longer does.
